Marti Stanley

Born and raised in Alabama, you’ll frequently hear the word “y’all” come from her lips. For Marti, church is a communal experience where we all gather and participate. We gather together, as a community, to laugh and talk about life. We gather together, as a community, to cry and mourn. We gather together, as a community, to worship God, realizing that part of being a community of faith is having faith in each other.

Church is a communal experience centered around Table. Christ’s table. A place where all are always welcome. A place where we are called God’s beloved. A place where love is shared. Together we strive to become the living hands and feet of Christ in our world today.
Marti loves working with people of all ages. She loves interacting and being very silly with our smallest church members. She guides and mentors our youth group. She enjoys sitting at table with adults of all stages of life. And she cherishes holy ground moments: times when new babies are born, times when vows are said, times when dedications occur, times when last breaths are taken, times when words are not needed, yet in the presence of the moment, the Spirit is felt.
Marti is married with 3 energetic kids and a dog, too. She received her bachelor’s degree in Youth & Family Ministry from Lipscomb University. And she has taken seminary courses toward a Master of Divinity degree from Abilene Christian University and Lexington Theological Seminary. She is a licensed and commissioned minister for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
